Senior software developer building accessible, high-scale web applications. I take features end to end — concept, architecture, production — and care as much about the next engineer reading the code as the user in front of it.

Citizen Insights

GEOTAB (2020 – 2026)

100K+Road segments rendered

A public-works 511 platform, taken from concept to production.

Drove the engineering of GEOTAB's public-works 511 platform from concept to production — building the public site and admin panel while partnering with two product owners and two designers. The platform opened GEOTAB's municipal market, reaching 30+ customers including one rendering over 100,000 road segments.

  • Architected the map to render 100,000+ road segments via Mapbox vector tiling and clustering, keeping interaction smooth at city scale.
  • Built two distinct surfaces — a public-facing 511 site and an internal admin panel — on a shared Mithril.js + RxJS reactive architecture.
  • Coordinated delivery across two product owners, two designers, and a four-engineer team as the engineering lead.

Data Fetcher Optimization

GEOTAB (2020 – 2026)

>99%Fewer API calls

Cut a scheduled ingestion job’s API load by over 99%.

Re-architected a scheduled GeoJSON ingestion job that was issuing one API call per road segment — over 10,000 calls every 15 minutes for large municipalities — after new rate limits began throttling the job and degrading reliability.

  • Identified that per-segment calls were the wrong granularity: the API could return every segment in a service group in a single request.
  • Handled the resulting larger per-call payloads with pagination, preserving complete segment data without re-introducing call volume.
  • Cut calls from 10,000+ to <10 per run (>99% reduction), eliminating rate-limit throttling for the largest municipalities.

Platform Accessibility Initiative

GEOTAB (2020 – 2026)

WCAG 2.2 AAFull compliance

Full WCAG 2.2 AA compliance, delivered in a single quarter.

Owned a platform-wide accessibility initiative end to end, taking the product to full WCAG 2.2 AA conformance in a single quarter through systematic auditing, remediation, and a set of reusable patterns the team still builds against.

  • Audited the platform with axe, Lighthouse, and manual screen-reader testing to find and prioritize conformance gaps.
  • Established reusable accessible component patterns so new work stays compliant by default, not by retrofit.
  • Reached full WCAG 2.2 AA conformance across the product within one quarter.

Material Management — Street Sweepers

GEOTAB (2020 – 2026)

PilotNew vehicle class

Extended the rules engine to a new class of vehicle telemetry.

Extended GEOTAB's rules engine to support street-sweeper Material Management telemetry — a vehicle class the platform was never designed for — and shipped the Tymco pilot to production for opt-in customers.

  • Wrote the rules-engine extension to model new telemetry actions like total material collected and water used per trip.
  • Proved the approach on a concrete hardware target (Tymco model) before generalizing.
  • Shipped to production as an opt-in pilot, establishing the pattern for onboarding future vehicle classes.

Today's Shopping Choice

Connex Telecommunications (2016 – 2018)

1.5M+Weekly users

A Rogers self-serve application serving 1.5M+ weekly users.

Delivered Rogers' Today's Shopping Choice IVR self-serve application, serving over 1.5 million active weekly users, and led the team's move to a modern Git version-control and review workflow.

  • Shipped the FAQ, gift-card flow, and size/style selection features.
  • Led team-wide adoption of Git, moving the team to a modern version-control and review workflow.
  • Supported a production audience of 1.5M+ active weekly users.

About

Engineering for impact, built to last.

I'm a Senior Software Developer with 8+ years building scalable, accessible, high-impact web applications — products that reach millions of users and hold up under real-world constraints.

I lead full-cycle feature development, from translating ambiguous requirements into clean architecture to shipping and iterating in production. I've driven platform-wide accessibility compliance, re-engineered services under hard performance limits, and taken new products from concept to market.

What drives me is shipping software that makes a real difference for its users, paired with the thrill of exploring technology that's new to me.

Engineering philosophy

01

Quality is a feature

Clean, maintainable code is not a luxury — it is what lets a team move fast for years, not weeks. I optimize for the engineer who reads the code next.

02

Accessibility is non-negotiable

Software should work for everyone who needs it, regardless of how they access it. I treat WCAG conformance and inclusive UX as core requirements, not an afterthought.

03

Ownership over hand-offs

From concept and requirements to production and iteration, I take features end to end — and bring stakeholders along the whole way.
